Maruti vehicles exhibited in Dhapasi

KATHMANDU, June 26: Arun Intercontinental Traders—the authorized seller of Maruti Suzuki Vehicles for Nepal—exhibited Maruti Ritz, Maruti Wagon-R, A-Star and Swift in different places of Dhapasi and Subha Home.

Issuing a press statement, the company said it has been conducting similar exhibition at various housing and shopping complexes keeping in mind the growing popularity of Maruti vehicles. The statement further said that more than 50 visitors came to the exhibition and around 12 vehicles were booked on the spot.

“Our foremost concern is customer satisfaction and keeping this in mind, we are providing 3S (sales, service, spare) service at our showroom in Pulchowk,” the statement quoted Karan Chaudhary, director of the company, as saying.

REPUBLICA KATHMANDU, March 29: Reversing its years long policy, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has allowed Financial Institutions (FIs) categorized under Class ´D´ to mobilize deposits from general public. However, the permission has laid down numerous conditions for the FIs to operate Retail Micro Banking. Financial institutions posting profit for three consecutive years, maintaining minimum reserve as specified by NRB, settlement of pre-operation cost, and having provisions of deposit mobilization from general public on their prospectus are the major eligibility criteria to enjoy the new benefit, NRB stated in a directives issued on Monday. KATHMANDU, June 3: In a landmark decision, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to send the long-troubled Nepal Development Bank into liquidation after concluding that all its five-year long efforts to revive the bank failed owing to incompetent and defiant management.

A vital board meeting of the central bank held on Tuesday also decided to freeze all the transactions of the bank, including accounts maintained by the NDB at other financial institutions until the appointment of a liquidator. It, however, decided to release a limited amount for essential administrative expenditures of the bank.
